Corruption Dungeon Guide: Shards, Puzzles & Corruptor Boss

Updated 2026-09-02 · Roblox 100 Days At Sea

The short version: Corruption is an end-game dungeon added on 17 July 2026. Collect 5 corrupt shards, light the corrupt portal on the cargo ship, and clear a loop of rooms (explosives, three colour puzzles, a chest mimic room, a 132 kg weights room) to unlock The Corruptor, a 20,000 HP boss. Killing it gives +1 day multiplier every run, which is the only repeatable multiplier in the game and the way to reach the 10x, 15x and 20x corruption badges. The "corrupt kraken puzzle" people search for is the colour-memory machine inside the dungeon; the kraken itself only matters because its last tentacle drops a shard. A "heart of corruption" item is not documented on the wiki yet.

How to get corrupt shards

Shards drop on the ground and any player can pick them up. Five turns the portal on; extra shards picked up afterwards do nothing.

The Corruption page says 5 shards light the portal, while the cargo ship page says 6. Treat the exact count as community-reported, unconfirmed, and keep collecting until the lighting cutscene plays. After your first clear you can craft a Corrupted Portal (50 metal, 50 wood on the crafting page; the Day count page mentions 50 glue instead) to enter from your base. Leaving the dungeon puts you back on the cargo ship even if you entered from the crafted portal, though the wiki marks this as needing re-checking.

Before you go in

The wiki calls this the hardest dungeon in the game. Bring:

  • A good ranged weapon: boomstick or ray gun are named as the best choices. See weapons.
  • About 15 seafood pizza slices worth of food; there is little food inside.
  • A harpoon, to propel yourself back to the entrance portal quickly.

Time stops while every player on the server is inside the dungeon (tested in solo; multiplayer needs testing). Progress is saved if you leave through the entrance portal, so retreat to heal instead of dying.

Dungeon layout

The starting room has three doors. Go right into the explosive section, work through the loop, exit through the left door, then open the central boss door. The wiki confirms the explosive section comes first and the boss room last, but the exact order of the colour puzzles, mimic room and weights room in between is community-reported, unconfirmed.

OrderSectionWhat to do
1Explosive sectionPlace a barrel at each of 4 unstable rock walls and shoot it; a green button spawns more barrels
2 to 4Enemy roomsChests plus corrupt saber wielders, corrupt minigunners, red and blue jellyfish
5Colour puzzle 1Memorise a 2-colour sequence
6Chest mimic roomFind 3 batteries; shoot chests first to expose mimics
7Colour puzzle 2Memorise a 4-colour sequence
8Weights roomLoad the balance to exactly 132 kg
9Colour puzzle 3Memorise a 9-colour sequence
10Boss roomMini-corruptor (500 HP) then The Corruptor (20,000 HP)

Enemies between the explosive walls can be alien warriors, ice wolves and bears, or ghost pirates. Everything has high HP, so keep moving and shoot from range.

Colour puzzle solution

Each puzzle room has a machine showing four colours (red, yellow, green, blue) with four matching buttons. The machine plays a sequence, and you repeat it by pressing the buttons in order:

  1. Press any button. If it is correct the machine turns green; if wrong it turns red and shows you the first correct colour.
  2. After every correct entry the machine replays the sequence from the start and adds one more colour.
  3. Repeat the full sequence each time until the door opens.

Example from the wiki for room 2: press green (correct), machine shows green, blue; press green, blue (correct), it shows green, blue, red; press that (correct), it shows green, blue, red, green; press all four and the door opens. Puzzle 1 ends at 2 colours, puzzle 2 at 4, puzzle 3 at 9. The wiki says the combination changes each game (whether it also changes for every dungeon run is marked uncertain), so there is no fixed answer to copy.

Chest mimic room

The room is full of chests. Real ones hold loot and the 3 batteries you need for the door; mimics have 200 HP and hit for around 20. A mimic only reveals itself when you start opening it, unless you shoot the chest first. Fire one shot at every chest before approaching. You do not need to open every chest to find 3 batteries.

Weights room

A balance shows current weight and a target of 132 kg. Drag or harpoon crates onto it:

CrateWeight
Light1 kg
Mid10 kg
Heavy50 kg

Fastest combination: 2 heavy (100) + 3 mid (30) + 2 light (2) = 132 kg. The door stays open once it has triggered, even if you remove the crates.

The Corruptor boss fight

Once puzzle 3 is done, the central door in the starting room opens. Kill the mini-corruptor (about 500 HP) to start the real fight. The Corruptor has 20,000 HP on the first kill and gains 5,000 HP each time you beat it, making it the bulkiest entity in the game.

  • Stay in the doorway and shoot from there. Most of its ranged attacks only hit players below it.
  • It teleports up to the door sometimes; back off and return.
  • It summons jellyfish. Clear them before walking in to loot.
  • Leave through the portal to regenerate if HP gets low; the fight resumes where you left it.

Rewards: +1 day multiplier, 5 pearls, and a chest with the Void Slicer (24 damage, 666 unique-ammo rounds, no auto-aim). The dungeon vanishes 5 minutes after the boss dies. The Corruption page marks whether the Void Slicer drops on every kill as uncertain, while the Weapons page says the chest gives it each time the boss is slain.

Corruption multipliers and the 20x badge

The day multiplier can reach 12 from non-repeatable sources (3 survivors, 4 containers, stronghold, map, Ancient Squid, biome boss). Corruption is the only source you can farm:

BadgeRequirement
Corruption Most FoulDefeat The Corruptor once
Time CorruptedReach a 10x multiplier (any source counts)
Too Corrupt to FailReach 15x by repeating the boss
The Corruption ConsumesReach 20x

The Companions page puts the practical end-game ceiling at 21x. Whether there is a hard cap above that is not documented yet.

The Corruptor companion

The Corruptor is also a Robux legendary companion. At max level it gives +2.5% overall damage per point of day multiplier: +25% at 10x, +52.5% at 21x. It is rated 4 stars for reaching day 100 and 5 stars past it, because its buff scales directly with corruption runs.
