How to Revive in 100 Days at Sea: Medkits, Pearls & Saving

Updated 2026-09-02 · Roblox 100 Days At Sea

The short version: to revive a friend in 100 Days at Sea you need a medkit. The Fandom NPCs page states that "using a medkit is the only way to revive another player", and the only documented medkit source is the MukuMuku merchant, who sells 1 medkit, twice per game, for 100 doubloons each. The Pearls page hints that pearls can also "revive other players", but gives no cost. Reviving yourself is not covered by any source. On saving: pearls, best scores, badges, potion recipes and decorations are the only things kept between games; doubloons are lost once the game is over. You can leave and rejoin a live server, but leaving costs you rewards handed out while you were gone.

How to revive someone with a medkit

The NPCs page is the only source that spells out the mechanic: a medkit is the only way to revive another player, medkits are "rather scarce", and you should buy them "if your teammates are already dead or at risk". How the medkit is applied, how long the revive takes, and how much HP the revived player returns with are not documented yet.

Medkit supply according to the sources:

SourceWhat you getCostLimit
MukuMuku merchant (Buku Trader)1 medkit100 doubloonsBuyable twice per game, per player
Crafting tableNothing-No medkit in any tier
ChestsNot listed-Community-reported, unconfirmed
Penguin companionBandage every 220 secondsCompanion from Ice Chest (5% chance)The wiki calls bandages a supply item, not a revive item

The merchant visits your base in the morning and leaves at night; stock is per player and does not restock. Doubloons come from doubloon chests (+15 each, or around 7-8 from oil-rig purple chests) and from defeating special nights, so a team that expects deaths should bank 200 doubloons early. The medkit page covers every heal source; the materials page covers doubloon farming.

Reviving with pearls

Two Fandom pages hint at a second route. The NPCs page says players "might want to delay" the 500-doubloon pearl purchase "to start strong, or revive teammates", and the Pearls page repeats that pearls may be saved "to revive other players". Pearls are the lobby currency for classes and companions, so a pearl-cost revive is the most reasonable reading. Neither page gives the price, the prompt, or whether it works on yourself. Community-reported, unconfirmed.

Reviving yourself

No source describes a self-revive. The NPCs page only talks about reviving "another player". If a pearl revive exists it may apply to yourself too, but that is speculation, not documentation.

What happens when you die

No source has a dedicated death section, so this is pieced together:

  • You stay in the server. The Entities page says the Anglerfish "chases alive players", which implies dead players remain in the game in some form. Spectator mode, ghost, or a body waiting for a medkit: not documented yet.
  • Some things survive death. The Islands page notes that squid-island gold tablets are "not in the inventory, nor lost upon death", which implies normal inventory items can be lost on death. What exactly drops is community-reported, unconfirmed.
  • No death notification is listed. The Notifications page covers ghost pirate raids, the fog lifting and pirate-island keys; nothing about a player dying or a revive timer.

The entities page lists every hostile that can kill you, and the nights page explains the bonfire radius inside which the Anglerfish cannot hurt you.

Does 100 Days at Sea save progress?

The Pearls page gives the clearest answer in the sources:

ItemSaves between games?Source
PearlsYesPearls page
BadgesYes, and pending badges can be redeemed for pearls in the lobbyPearls page
Best scores (stats)YesPearls page
Potion recipesYes, once crafted a recipe "remains permanently shown (even in any further game)", except Wacky PotionsPotions page
DecorationsYesPearls page
Classes and companionsYes, bought in the lobby with pearlsClasses and Companions pages
DoubloonsNo, "lost once game is over"Pearls page
Day count, bonfire, base, itemsNo, a run is not resumed laterImplied by the Pearls page list; not stated word for word (community-reported, unconfirmed)

So a run is a single session; no save slot that lets you quit at day 40 and continue tomorrow is documented. Before logging off, spend doubloons at the merchant, and push past day 100 for the 20-pearl escape reward (more in challenge mode). See the pearls page and day count page.

Can you rejoin in 100 Days at Sea?

Yes, while the server is still running. The NPCs page describes what happens when "the player leaves, and rejoins": the merchant's stock looks restocked but items you already bought stay unavailable, so your purchase record survives the rejoin. Two catches from the Pearls page:

  • Escape pearls at day 100 go only to "players in the server at the moment of the escape, players that left and rejoin afterwards won't get them".
  • Boss pearls also require being in the server when the boss dies.

Whether your inventory and class items are intact after a rejoin is not documented yet. One badge trick: the player count for day-100 badges "only counts when day 100 is reached", so a trio can earn the duo badge if one player leaves right before day 100.

Playing with friends

Badges cover team sizes from solo to five players ("And they were crewmates...": day 100 with 5 people). Private servers are not documented in the sources. Confirmed multiplayer rules:

  • Per-player limits. Merchant stock, fisherman trades, container items from rigs, and the UFO from the UFO island are all obtainable by each player separately.
  • Single-claim loot. Doubloon chests disappear when opened, so only one player gets those doubloons.
  • Shared drops. Corrupt shards land on the ground and "can be picked up by any player".

Giving items to a friend

There is no documented trade window. Items are physical: food, essences, chests and corpses are dragged or carried in a sack, and anything on the ground can be picked up by any player, so dropping an item next to a teammate is the only hand-off the sources support. Items inside the inventory (weapons, for example) "cannot be dropped" according to the Weapons page; whether a medkit counts as an inventory item is not documented yet.

For a team that does not want to lose a run to one death: buy both medkits on the first merchant visit, and read the beginner guide before your first night.
